I didn’t want to be rude, so I decided to keep talking to him, and to my surprise, he turned out to be quite charming. As we chatted, I found that we really vibed. He’s younger than me, but he seems very mature and has his life together—something I can’t say for myself at 28! When I told him my age, he was genuinely shocked; he thought I was closer to his age. A lot of people often mistake me for being in my late 20s or early 30s, which I’m flattered by—thank you, Asian genes! Still, I can’t shake off the fact that there’s a 14-year age difference between us. I’m definitely interested in him, and he doesn’t seem to mind the age gap, but I keep questioning whether age really is just a number. What do you think?14
