Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Full Frame Cine DS Lens for M4/3 Cameras

This Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Cine DS Lens is designed for use with micro four thirds cameras. This lens can function as a still photo lens, but it’s optimized for cinema and video shooting. The focus and aperture control rings are designed with industry standard gearing which offers an interface that accommodates a traditional follow focus. The aperture control ring has been de-clicked for smooth iris pulls, too. The lens’s T/1.5 – T22 aperture range means it’s great in daylight as well as low-light environments, and its 8 blade iris creates smooth, attractive bokeh. Rokinon designed the lens with one aspherical element to minimize chromatic aberrations and produce sharper images throughout the frame. Additionally, all of the lens elements have been treated with a special multi-coating that improves light transmission to reduce lens flare and ghosting.

Compatibility with All DS Branded Lenses

Rokinon designed its DS lenses to offer the same alignment of their geared focus and aperture rings so that follow focus and other accessories won’t need re-adjustment when you swap out one DS lens for another. This consistency helps minimize downtime since all you have to do is swap lenses and you’re immediately ready to start shooting again. Each DS lens is also color matched to ensure uniformity of color and contrast when shooting video footage.

Stunning Image Quality and Versatility

The T1.5 features a long aperture range of T1.5 – T22. This means that the lens can deliver beautiful footage in low light as well as well-lit environments. The 8 blade iris also creates beautiful, smooth bokeh free of harsh lines. To further improve image quality, the optical elements in the lens have been treated with a special multi-coating that improves light transmission and reduces lens flare and ghosting. Rokinon 35mm T1.5 Full Frame Cine DS Lens for Micro Four Thirds Cameras

Designed specifically for film and video production, Rokinon 35mm T1.5 Cine AS UMC Lens also offers exclusive photographic experience. Featuring industry-standard focus gearing, de-clicked industry-standard aperture ring and side located aperture and focus scales. Fast T1.5 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and provides greater control over focus placement for shallow depth of field applications. The lens completes an optical system based on superior optical technologies, and maintains excellent resolution both at the center and around the periphery of the lens by adopting a high performance Glass Molding ASP lens and Ultra Multi Coating. UMC coating improves light transmission and suppresses lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich, color-neutral images.

Clear, Sharp Images

This lens is compatible with full-frame sensors and can also be used on APS-C sized sensors, where the 35mm equivalent focal length will be 56mm. The optical construction incorporates two high refractive index elements and one aspherical element to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortion to produce sharper imagery. Additionally, a UMC coating has been applied to lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich images. Rokinon 50mm T1.5 Full Frame Cine DS Lens for MFT Cameras

The 50mm T1.5 AS UMC Cine DS Lens for MFT Camera from Rokinon is a fast manual focus prime lens. It provides a very fast maximum aperture of T1.5 for effective low light capture and shallow depth of field control and an 8 blade iris for attractive bokeh. Optimized for cinema and video applications, the focus and aperture control rings are outfitted with industry standard gearing, which provides an interface for working with a traditional follow focus. The aperture control ring has also been de-clicked, which enables smooth iris pulls. In addition, bht aperture and distance markings are printed on the lens barrel facing laterally to facilitate easier control by a focus puller.

Features

The 50mm has a minimum focus distance of 1.5 feet. Internal focusing minimizes the effects of lens breathing, which insures a more consistent angle-of-view when adjusting focus. The lens is composed of 9 elements in 6 groups, including one aspherical element and one hybrid aspherical element to reduce aberrations. In addition, a lens multi-coating helps to improve light transmission reducing flare and ghosting. The filter thread diameter is 77mm.

DS Lens

With this 50mm lens, Rokinon introduces the DS series of cinema lenses, unifying their cine lenses in more than just name. Each of the DS branded lenses will offer the same alignment of their geared focus and aperture rings so that follow focus and other accessories won't need re-adjustment when swapping lenses. Also, each DS lens is tested to be color matched with the other lenses in the series and provide the same color and contrast when shooting video. Lastly, the lenses are marked with focusing scales on each side of the barrel for easier adjustment from either side of the camera.
