XDynamics EVOLVE 2 Professional Drone

Designed expressly for aerial cinematographers, the XDynamics EVOLVE 2 Professional Drone is packed with technology to capture stunning, cinema-grade footage for all aspects of film, television, and online streaming. The EVOLVE 2 uses the Astra Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera system, featuring a Sony 12MP sensor and the ability to capture video up to 4K at 120 fps. Large pixels support low-light filming with little noise, and you can use any compatible lens to further enhance your content, such as the included Olympus 17mm prime. The impressive camera is elevated by a strong and lightweight carbon fiber airframe with a powerful and intricately engineered motor and propeller system. It can all be piloted and fully controlled by a dual touchscreen remote control.

Astra Camera System

The Astra camera is smoothly controlled via a 3-axis brushless gimbal, and with 13 stops available, the camera can achieve detailed content with a high dynamic range in nearly any lighting condition. Even low-light filming with minimal noise is possible with large 4.63μm pixels. In addition, the camera uses an integrated sensor and precise tuning to avoid oversaturation of colors and produce a natural look to your videos and images similar to film.Various film textures are also possible with the Astra, thanks to support for multiple 3D LUTs such as vintage Kodachrome or a classic bleach bypass. If you need to shoot any high-speed subjects, the Astra has you covered with support for 120 fps slow-motion recording. Whatever footage you record can utilize H.264/H.265 encoding or Apple ProRes for professional post-production editing, and everything benefits from fast 100 Mb/s processing. Images and video can be stored on optional CFast 2.0 or SD cards, and a 64GB SD card is included to get you started.

Strong and Lightweight Airframe

The monocoque carbon fiber airframe is made from a single sheet of 3K twill carbon fiber. This delivers a strong, long-lasting, weather-resistant body that is also extraordinarily lightweight, as an internal support structure is not needed. The addition of a magnesium alloy ventral plate adds vibration reduction and heat dissipation, which assists in jitter-free videos and longer flights.

Powerful and Fast

Nearly every aspect of the motor system has been engineered to maximize power and stability. The trapezoid shape of the motor's booms improves airflow, increases torque, and provides a wider FOV for the Astra camera system. The inclination and height of each motor work to increase stability, further improve the camera's FOV, and assist in the propeller's functionality. The motor height specifically lets the props overlap for efficient prop wash and control. The motors deliver 530 Kv of power and 3.7 lb of thrust for a top speed of 57 mph in sports mode, more than enough for high-speed shooting subjects, such as sports, racing, or wildlife.

LiDAR Sensor

Shoot in bad weather and take dynamic low-altitude footage by utilizing the EVOLVE 2's LiDAR sensor. The sensor operates at 50mW with a range of 0.3 to 32.8' for high-precision distance measurement in real time.

Smart Flight Modes

• Waypoint: Have the EVOLVE 2 fly a specific flight plan you lay out with waypoints based on locations, altitudes, and directions.
• Orbit: Select a point of interest and have the EVOLVE 2 shoot it as it circles in the air. The altitude, radius, and speed of the orbit are programmable.
• Tripod: This slows the EVOLVE 2, so it can capture complicated images and detail with smooth video.

Dual Touchscreen Ground Station Controller

Solo pilots get full control over the drone, camera, footage, and settings with the Ground Station controller. No additional devices are required as the remote sports two built-in touchscreens. During a flight, the 8" display shows you a live camera feed and lets you control the drone and camera functions. After the flight, you can use the screen and sophisticated UI for footage review and editing. The smaller 5.5" display provides control over the flight, GPS, gimbal, and controller settings.Like the EVOLVE 2, the Ground Station can handle most outdoor shooting conditions, with an all-weather shell and 1000 cd/m² of brightness for easy readability. The default antennas can transmit all of this data and content from up 2.5 miles away, and an optional monitor can be plugged in via HDMI to share everything with other members of your crew. Thanks to fast boot times, you can open the Ground Station's protective clamshell and be ready to fly in as little as a minute. Powering the remote is a removable LiPo battery that can run for up to two hours per charge. The images and videos you save to the remote can be stored on an optional microSD card or USB Type-C compatible external drive.

Ground Station User Interface

• The built-in user interface of the Ground Station remote provides pilots with a variety of useful features to help pre- and post-flight:Warnings and alerts regarding no-fly zones and other restrictions are displayed on the controller.
• View local forecasts that include sunrise and sunset times.
• View a pre-flight checklist that contains the current settings, sensor information, and a summary of the EVOLVE 2's status. It will either show that it's ready to fly, not recommended to fly, or not ready to fly. You can also calibrate the compass and adjust the return-to-home altitude from anywhere between 65.6 to 262.5'.
• Use Creative Assistant to apply one of a variety of visual templates onscreen while in flight. They are designed to help you compose a more compelling shoot for your project. Visual templates include circle, diagonal, grid, golden ratio, quadrant, simple division, thirds, triangle, and vanishing.
• View footage and data from a flight, such as the EVOLVE 2's flight path, altitudes, and timing. All flight data can be backed up on a PC to your user account.
• An integrated CMS helps you keep all of your data organized for easy retrieval and review. You can review content based on location, time periods, type of footage, or categories via title or hashtag.
• An integrated content editor lets you make basic edits to images or videos and add titles, letting you get the footage you've just taken out to co-workers, clients, or social media as quickly as possible. Whatever you do can be saved to a different file, so your original content remains untouched.
