A 900VA/480W capacity provides ample capacity for a wide range of home office, workstation and point-of-sale applications. A 420J surge suppression rating protects components on AC lines, and one set of tel/DSL jacks protects phone, modem and fax connections. EMI/RFI line noise filtering prevents hardware damage and performance problems such as poor-quality audio and video output. One USB port, when used with PowerAlert software (available from Tripp Lite as a free download), supports messaging of detailed UPS operational parameters and line power status plus direct monitoring of directly connected devices.

The INTERNET900U features a split-outlet design with 12 total AC outlets: six to provide battery backup support and surge protection for computers, monitors and other critical components; six to provide surge-only protection for peripherals that do not need battery backup, like printers and scanners.

Reliable Battery Backup

UPS battery backup support enables you to work through short power failures, and provides time to save files and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The INTERNET900U features an internal battery that provides 10 minutes of battery support for a half load (240W) and 2.5 minutes for a full load (480W). During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available when needed.

Surge Suppression with Tel/DSL Jacks

A sudden power surge or spike can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The INTERNET900U features 420J of built-in surge suppression to protect all connected components and the data they contain. Additionally, one set of tel/DSL jacks protects a standard phone, fax, modem or DSL connection.

EMI/RFI Line Noise Filtering

Various electromagnetic and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The INTERNET900U incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment.

USB Port and Free PowerAlert Software

The INTERNET900U features an HID-compliant USB port (USB cable included). Used with Tripp Lite's free PowerAlert software (available from Tripp Lite as a Web download), this USB port enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in the event of a prolonged power failure. The USB port also enables integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows®, Linux® and Mac OS® X.

Diagnostic LEDs and Audible Alarm

The INTERNET900U features two LEDs that show power and protection status at a glance. An audible alarm sounds to alert users to power failure, overload and low-battery conditions.
