Reaching businesses that want their own mobile app requires a strategic approach that involves targeting the right audience, showcasing the benefits of having a mobile app, and utilizing various marketing and sales techniques. Here is a detailed guide on how to reach businesses that are interested in developing their own mobile app: 1. Identify the target audience: Determine the specific industries or niches that are most likely to benefit from having a mobile app. Consider businesses that have a customer-centric approach, rely heavily on technology, or operate in highly competitive markets. Examples could include e-commerce companies, restaurants, fitness centers, healthcare providers, or service-based businesses. 2. Research and gather contact information: Build a database of potential businesses that fit the target audience criteria. Utilize online directories, industry-specific websites, social media platforms, and business networking events to gather contact information such as email addresses, phone numbers, and social media profiles. 3. Craft a compelling value proposition: Develop a clear and concise value proposition that highlights the benefits of having a mobile app for businesses. Focus on how it can enhance customer engagement, increase sales, improve brand loyalty, streamline operations, or provide a competitive advantage. Tailor the value proposition to address the specific pain points or challenges faced by the target audience. 4. Create a professional website and portfolio: Establish a professional online presence by creating a website that showcases your expertise in mobile app development. Include a portfolio section that highlights successful app projects, client testimonials, and case studies. Provide detailed information about the services you offer, your team's qualifications, and any unique selling points that differentiate your business from competitors. 5. Implement inbound marketing strategies: Utilize inbound marketing techniques to attract businesses actively searching for mobile app development services. Create high-quality content such as blog posts, whitepapers, or infographics that provide valuable insights, tips, or industry trends related to mobile apps. Optimize your website for search engines to increase visibility and organic traffic. Offer downloadable resources, such as e-books or guides, in exchange for email addresses to build a subscriber list. 6. Leverage social media platforms: Utilize social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to reach out to businesses that might be interested in mobile app development. Join relevant industry groups or forums, participate in discussions, and share informative content to establish yourself as an industry expert. Engage with potential clients by commenting on their posts, offering advice, or answering questions related to mobile apps. 7. Attend industry events and conferences: Participate in industry-specific events, conferences, or trade shows where businesses from the target audience are likely to be present. Set up a booth or table to showcase your services, distribute promotional materials, and engage in conversations with potential clients. Consider offering a free consultation or demo to generate leads and capture contact information. 8. Utilize targeted email marketing campaigns: Develop personalized email marketing campaigns to reach businesses that have shown interest in mobile app development. Segment your email list based on industry, company size, or specific pain points, and tailor your messages accordingly. Highlight success stories, industry-specific case studies, or exclusive offers to capture their attention and encourage them to take the next step. 9. Collaborate with complementary businesses: Partner with other businesses or service providers that cater to the same target audience but offer complementary services. For example, if you specialize in mobile app development for fitness centers, collaborate with fitness equipment suppliers, marketing agencies, or personal trainers who can refer potential clients to you. Offer mutual benefits, such as revenue sharing or cross-promotion, to incentivize these partnerships. 10. Provide exceptional customer service and support: Once you start engaging with potential clients, ensure you provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process. Address their inquiries promptly, offer personalized solutions, and provide detailed proposals or quotes. Establish trust and credibility by showcasing your expertise and delivering on your promises. Remember that reaching businesses that want their own mobile app requires a combination of targeted marketing efforts, industry knowledge, and effective communication. Continuously evaluate and refine your strategies based on the response and feedback received from potential clients to maximize your success.

if they already know they want a mobile app: google search. that'll be one of their first 2 touch points, next to asking people they know if they know someone.

Let me know in 3 years what your “dispatch software” customer thinks. Either you or them will be dissatisfied with each other. This type of app-for-fee business model very rarely works out. Either go SaaS or consult based on existing SaaS.

Most business-as-usual stuff can be done inside Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Just the example you described can be done in Teams (Microsoft will probably support this forever), Microsoft Forms, and Sharepoint.

No, we do not need more crappy unmaintained apps in our businesses that break every time there is a hardware refresh (or major android ver.), and cannot be updated because the developer is MIA or charging an arm and leg for changes. Then you gotta pay for (managed) hosting on top of this.
