In a shock move, ChatGPT's parent company - OpenAl - has fired CEO Sam Altman.
The decision comes after the board said it "no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAl" after finding that Altman "was not consistently candid in his communications with the board."
Mira Murati, the company's chief technology officer, will serve as interim CEO starting today (Friday), while the board begins a search for a permanent successor.
