No Mjolnir, no nuclear blast, just hands and shields. Who’s winning? Cap or Soldier Boy

In a battle between Captain America (Cap) and Soldier Boy, both relying solely on their hands and shields, it is a close and intense matchup. While it is difficult to provide concrete examples and references since these characters exist in fictional universes, we can analyze their abilities, experiences, and feats to make an informed judgment.

1. Physical Abilities:

- Cap: Enhanced strength, speed, agility, and durability due to the Super Soldier Serum. He can overpower opponents with his punches and shield strikes.

- Soldier Boy: Enhanced strength and durability (though not as much as Cap) due to Compound V. He possesses above-average physical abilities but might not match Cap's peak human capabilities.

2. Combat Skills:

- Cap: Highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat, trained in various martial arts, and a master tactician. He has fought against powerful opponents like Winter Soldier, Iron Man, and Thanos.

- Soldier Boy: While Soldier Boy's combat skills are not extensively explored in the comics or TV series, he is portrayed as a seasoned soldier with military training. However, he may not possess the same level of skill or experience as Cap.

3. Shield Utilization:

- Cap: Known for his exceptional shield techniques, Cap can use his shield both defensively and offensively. He can throw it with pinpoint accuracy, deflect projectiles, and use it as a melee weapon effectively.

- Soldier Boy: Soldier Boy also uses a shield, but his proficiency with it is not as well-documented. It can be assumed that he has some level of skill, but it might not match Cap's mastery.

Considering these factors, the battle between Cap and Soldier Boy would likely be a fierce and evenly-matched encounter. Cap's superior physical abilities, extensive combat training, and exceptional shield techniques give him an edge. However, Soldier Boy's enhanced strength and military experience could provide him with some advantages.

Ultimately, the outcome would depend on various factors such as strategy, adaptability, and the environment in which the battle takes place. It is crucial to remember that these characters' powers and abilities are subject to interpretation and can vary based on different adaptations or storylines.

Caps not even close to his power level. In comics, he’s only peak human. In the MCU he’s maybe 10x human strength. Soldier boy was able to stand toe to toe with homelander for a little bit anyway.

Well, Soldier Boy has unbreakable skin and bones and Cap doesn’t. So that’s just kinda that as far as fistfights go.

Thing is, if they switched places, Soldier boy wouldn’t go back in time to bang Peggy, he would do it in the present.

Yeah, it’s sort of the inverse of the Homelander / Superman fight. Even were those two the same power level Superman is way, way more experienced while Homelander is a poodle. And of course Superman has all the extra powers. But despite also being a poodle compared to Cap’s vast experience Soldier Boy is probably just too powerful for Cap in raw terms. However Cap has fought more powerful people before and come up with some way to defeat them. But then that is straying more into narrative than innate capability.

Much as I love Captain America, Soldier Boy is more durable and I think can take almost any hit Cap throws at him
