Though several answers are already provided, adding some more input to the answers will give more clarity. Considering the current market scenarios, almost all the ERP vendors provide cloud ERPs. So, it becomes quite tricky to choosing an ERP for your business with plethora of options available in the market. As a small business or start-up, probably you can start with some basic accounting software like Quickbooks, Tally, etc, which are not really ERPs as many think. But make sure you understand that these software can only take care of you finance and accounting needs and will soon outgrow your needs as your business grows. Once businesses start growing, they find themselves dealing with more complexities – like cross-referencing data, managing subsidiaries across various locations and multiple currencies, need to integrate finance with other business processes, and so on, which becomes difficult with small business accounting software. The best way of achieving efficiency and control in the business is by automating operations in any business.Small businesses in the growth path need to ensure that their IT investments can support their growth by incorporating solutions that can automate and streamline their finance and other business processes as well. Cloud ERPs and rapid implementation programs makes ERPs more affordable for small businesses, without having to worry about the expenses and complexities associated with setting up the infrastructure.

"Best cloud ERP is Odoo, you can use Community or Enterprise Edition. You can self host or just use one of the cloud hosting platforms that Odoo provides: Odoo Online or Odoo.sh.You can also get your own server and have someone like me setting it up. Odoo can be simple or complex depending on the implementation approach you take. Start with the essential and stay there for 6 months until you feel you and your company are comfortable using the system. When you master the basics, onboard one module at the time with no sense of urgency. If you want to go fast, i strongly recommend a partner. Even if you have a very small business it’s not expensive to hire a partner to give you a small training and get you on the right path.Odoo is really amazing, born from the effort of an opensource project with input from developers around the world and ready to scale a small business with a strong ground foundation"
