OpenAI has established a new team called the Superalignment team, led by Ilya Sutskever, with the aim of developing methods to control and steer "superintelligent" AI systems. The team will focus on addressing technical challenges related to controlling such advanced AI and will have access to significant computing resources. The post predicts that we could see an AI Superintelligence (surpassing the capabilities of AGI, in their words) before the and of the decade.
