"Sugat sa Lamay" is a Tagalog horror animation set during a wake (lamay) in a small Filipino town. The story follows Jomar, who attends the lamay of a relative. During the vigil, Jomar accidentally cuts himself while handling a candle. Initially brushing it off as a minor injury, he soon begins to experience strange occurrences—whispers in the dark, cold winds, and shadows that seem to move on their own.

As the night progresses, Jomar realizes that his wound has opened a connection between him and the restless spirit of the deceased, who is seeking vengeance for an unresolved wrong. The spirit begins to torment him, growing more aggressive as the wake continues. Jomar must uncover the truth behind the spirit’s anger and find a way to appease it before the lamay ends, or he risks becoming the next victim.

"Sugat sa Lamay" combines Filipino funeral traditions with eerie supernatural elements, creating a tense and unsettling narrative about the consequences of disturbing the dead.
